 On October 1, 1996,
there was a twin or second Star of David in the sky in less than a month. This
October Star of David was linked to the one just before it on
September 2-4, 1996. They are similar and can be
thought of as twin stars.
Consciousness and
Manifestation The fact that these two stars are a pair or
twins is representative of the union that can occur between every two points of
any duality. In many traditions and at the highest levels, two different
aspects, when united, create consciousness and/or manifestation. For example in
the buddhist traditions, bliss is conjoined with emptiness and union leads to
enlightenment. The most common spiritual theme of integration is the union of
heaven and earth or Divinity manifesting in everyday life. We see this theme in
the September Star which harmoniously united the elements of earth and air,
fire and water. The theme is repeated in the October Twin Star. An integration
of any duality is not an easy task no matter what level of integration is
attempted or which two elements are being conjoined, but a successful
combination is extremely powerful and enlightening. It can only be done through
love. And it only takes one breakthrough to realize a whole new world, one in
which we are lifted beyond personal boundaries to an integrative third point of
wisdom and understanding.
A Mundane Example of this
Process A very simple mundane example of this non-dualistic
creation of consciousness and manifestation is seen whenever two people come
together in an intimate, sexual and loving manner. Sex is raised to love, love
is raised to compassion, and union on a higher plane becomes possible.
Manifestation can also occur with the birth of a child when the couple are male
and female and of the appropriate age and health. Though this example
illustrates the Divine promise, this process is seen and repeated in all
collaborations that are truly loving. It is not essential that the two
individuals be of different genders, that the contact be sexual or that the
relationship be intimate in any way. Whenever two diverse elements honor each
other in love, consciousness and some form of manifestation is assured.
Implications of the Twin
Star I believe that the occurance of these two stars in
1996 illustrates the movement beyond duality to a higher understanding of
diversity in union and the wisdom realized through that union. At the same
time, it becomes possible to apply the knowledge gained from this or any other
non-dualistic union to concrete situations on the mundane plane. This ability
to see and exist beyond duality has numerous implications to relationships and
also the process of enlightenment. I think this twin Star of David signaled the
entrance into enlightenment that is attainable to all who work through the
previous stages and continue to love well.
The Energetic Storm Associated with Dualistic
Tension It is interesting that the September star was
flanked by two hurricanes on the east coast, Edouard which hit New England
early on September 2, 1996 and Hurricane Fran which began to shower the east
coast late on September 3rd. We can think of the time between the two stars as
a time between two hurricanes, and in fact, the union of two opposites can be a
whirlwind time that breeds a lot of energy, activity and major transformation
before the third integrative point is found. It is not easy to hold a dualistic
tension in your mind until you break through to a new understanding, but it is
what is needed to fuel the ascent in consciousness and coinciding
materialization. It is this energy or tension which can be directed towards the
search for enlightenment. The fact that these two stars occur together can
indicate that the union of dualities is a path to higher consciousness that can
be utilitized and accessed more easily at this time or stage of the journey.
In keeping with this theme of nonduality, Dolly, the first cloned sheep
was born in 1997. A woman in Iowa defied all odds to give birth to septuplets.
We saw the power of prayer in her struggle as the members of her congregation
all prayed for her. We lost two great lights, two twins of compassion at the
same time, Mother Theresa and Princess Diana. |

Task and Learning Tool
The task is to discover this third integrative
point that breaks through to nondualistic union and leads to a higher level of
underestanding and wisdom. The tool for this breakthrough process is the energy
or tension that arises from not choosing, not interpreting, not judging, not
controlling, and not doing, but remaining in the pull of the duality until the
shift in consciousness and manifestation occur. |

- The sounds spoken in September tended to move to
manifestation and activation. (Astrological indications:The Sun in the
October star at 7 degrees Libra is conjunct the node at 7 degrees and opposing
Saturn. This is the position held by Mercury in the September star with Mercury
at 3 degrees Libra, conjunct the node and opposing Saturn.
- We moved more quickly from thought to manifestation.
Sluggishness was gone. Inspiration increased for those who were open to Spirit.
(Astrological indications: All the former stars, 1990, 1992, and
1995, were mainly earth-water elements. The September
star was the first to fully integrate all four elements into two Grand Trines.
This was the beginning of the transition to fire and air Stars of David. In the
October star, the transition is complete with the fire Grand Trine between
Saturn in Aries, Mars in Leo and Pluto in Sagittarius. The air Grand Trine is
formed by the Moon in Gemini, Sun in Libra and Uranus in Aquarius.)
- We moved from disciplining our minds to behaving in a
disciplined way on the earth plane. We became steeped in right action and
right relationship. The knowing of what to do and what not to do began to come
from within. It was not enough to think spirituality, we needed to walk our
talk and maintain personal and spiritual integrity. (Astrological
indications: Saturn opposed Mercury in the September chart and in October the
Sun moved into this position.)
- This was a time of endings and new beginnings.
(Astrological indications: There were many planets in either late or early
degrees of the sign in both the September star and in the October
star.)
- Relationships are sure to improve as we let go of our
attachments, acquire new skills, and learn to communicate more fully. We
may undo negative relating patterns that hampered relationships in the past.
(Astrological indications: The Gemini Moon in the October star has just
finished squaring Venus while in Taurus. While in Gemini it moved on to a final
aspect of sextile to Venus in Leo. Venus in the September star was conjunct
Mars in fall in the sign of Cancer.
