I think that each of the Stars of David that appears in the sky tell us something about the spiritual journey as it is occurring on the planet, both individually and connectively. It is interesting to note what happens during the time periods of each of the Stars. Shortly after the appearance of this Star, Iraq invaded Kuwait and many countries rallied together, considering the invasion an injustice. The Gulf War began. This was a War Star as noted by the Mars in Taurus tightly square to the Sun in Leo. The two are part of a T-square with Pluto in Scorpio.

In regard to individual spirituality, this Star of David was a water-earth Star and called for emotional cleansing and material manifestation. Water and earth create mud as we all know. But besides being dirty, mud can be used to create bricks. Once mud is dried it becomes a building material. In the initial steps of the spiritual journey we must integrate the divine side of our nature with our physical level of experience. We learn integration by viewing the earth as a sacred place and our physical incarnation as a sacred experience. Cleansing the emotions of anger and negativity is essential. Wounds need to be lanced. Infections need to flow out for healing. Often we are not ready for such a major commitment. We need time to work into it, to adjust and reorient ourselves. The Moon in this Star does not complete the trine to Pluto and the sextile to Mars for almost a year. But those first 12 months of any spiritual the journey can be a time of intense cleansing of the emotions. In 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed, Yugoslavia broke out in civil war, and Princess Diana and Princce Charles separated. In regard to our own cleansing, we would need:

1. to eliminate co-dependent tendencies and move to interdependence (Cancer),
2. to shun manipulation and control of others and move to empowerment (Scorpio),
3. to cease conditional love and move to unconditional and inclusive lovingness (Pisces).

If we would just do these three tasks, our hearts would open and Divinity would begin to flow through us and our talents and gifts would begin to manifest in the world. The interesting thing about this chart is that the Sun is totally outside of the configuration. This indicates that the ego needs to be put on the back burner for the spiritual journey to begin. These few steps are essential to the beginning of any spiritual journey. Is it not true that we must begin with loving well, using power correctly, and realizing that we are all connected? This then is the first initiation into heart centeredness and these are the first steps:

1. love well
2. use power correctly
3. realize that we are all related

The major learning tool of the first Star of David is the contract. Learning to discover what it is that you want in life and then writing it down and beginning a co-creative relationship with the Divine. This task opens a portal. Many lessons are to be learned through this process. Writing a contract or request to co-create with the Divine is the first step in a new partnership with God
