![]() It is interesting to note that the last Star of David in 1998 recognized relationships as a part of the spiritual path and perhaps the hardest yoga one can ever do. It was shortly after that 1998 Star that the scandal over President Clinton and "zippergate" emerged. Many began to question what relationships were truly about and how they could and would reflect spirituality. This star confirms the importance and dedication to relationships with the tight trine between Venus, Moon, and Pluto. Relationships are not just part of the path, but an avenue for great reverence, spiritual heights, sacred depths, and mystical union. The fact that Pluto is trine to Venus also shows a change in finances and the need for a redistribution of wealth. The stock market declined and some stocks never recovered. There is an energy crisis in California with rolling blackouts. Price fixing comes to light and eventually Enron collapses. We learn of the excesses and deceptions of corporate executives as the retirement savings of millions disappears. Neptune opposes Venus in the chart. But the big news of this Star is the attack on the World Trade Center seven days after the Star's appearance and the war in Afghanistan. This is a War Star like the August 1990 Star of David. Here the Sun is closely squared by Saturn and Pluto showing a loss of life and bodily injury. Aspects between Pluto and Saturn are commonly associated with war astrologically, but here the threat is made more dangerous with the squares to the Sun. Biological warfare is a possbility and we had anthrax in our mail system. Fanatical thinking can be seen in the Jupiter square to Mercury. Emotions run high with the Moon opposed to Mercury. Not only were we attacked, but we went to war. What is it that we are supposed to learn spiritually from all this? In this chart there are two Grand Trines and two T-squares. There is ease and there is tension. There are also two planets that do not belong to any of the configurations. One is Mars and the other is Uranus. They are rebel planets and they act outside of the structures seen in the chart. There will be individuals who act outside of the religious, societal and moral dictates. This is a reactionary chart and not a thinking chart. The Moon and Mercury are in opposition and both square to Jupiter. Understanding will not come easily, if at all. Wide swings are to be expected. Fanaticism and polarization will reign. There are times in every spiritual journey when events are incomprehensible, when we are left without guidance and understanding. It is at these times that we must hold tight to the wisdom we have gleaned from the path and act accordingly. This is one of those times. The task of this star is to hold up a light in the face of darkness. Everyone is being tested. Can we hold to the wisdom we have gleaned from the journey or will we be reactionary? Will we be measured and considered in our responses? Will we follow the principles we hold dear? Or will we fall into a dark night personally and globally? Adversity is the tool. How we face adversity, what we learn from it, and what we become because of it is the hallmark of this star. Unfortunately, this star is only the beginning of the descent as the 2002 Star of David is also a War Star. |
